Jack Reacher’s past comes calling when Gen. Susan Turner, a former flame and member of his 110th Military Police, years ago. She tracks him down via his ATM card and sets up a meeting with him. She needs his help in finding out what happened to one of her agents, who died, in a small Colorado town. When Reacher gets there, he finds out it has to do with a data center and has a welcoming committee waiting for him, which he easily takes care of. When Turner meets up with him, it takes them to San Francisco, where more people are waiting for him, which is a shame for those people. It leads to a final showdown with an old member of his team whom he once had arrested. Too bad for the bad guys, Reacher is smarter than all of them. This is another great, action-packed novel. If you’ve ever read one of these Reacher novels, you know what you get; Reacher beating up people and outsmarting them. Fans of the series will enjoy this one. And one final note, if you are not watching Reacher on Prime Video, what is wrong with you? It’s the best show on TV/Streaming today, with a perfect Reacher in actor Alan Ritchson.
