Madden Donahue has had the hots for Eve Mitchell since high school, but she always turned him down. He was her friend and protector. Today, he has been signed by the New Your Yankees. Eve’s father owned the local strip club, and she always got crap for that. After he died, she inherited it and turned it into a burlesque club. She also has custody of her sister’s two children at the moment. Seeing how Eve is struggling, he offers her a proposal; marry him for his health insurance, and he will also help take care of the kids when he can. It will just be a marriage in name only, and only last six months. They both have feelings for each other, and Madden is going to work his ass off the let her know they deserve to be together. This is another great novel from author Tessa Bailey. Watching Madden work his ass off to prove to Eve they belong together is heartwarming and fun. Who says there aren’t any good guys left in the world? Fans of her novels will enjoy this book a lot.
