Maren Laughlin has uprooted her life. She left her job on leave, turned down her boyfriend’s marriage proposal and fled from Michigan to Wisconsin and the bait shack/apartment that was willed to her by her friend Fost. The place is a mess, but it’s all hers. Also Josiah Cole is here, her brother Liam’s best friend, who has warned them both not to get involved. Joe is the father of two young kids, runs his family’s resort, and has been divorced for three years. There’s an instant attraction and they and the kids spend a lot of time together, and soon it becomes more, and then Liam finds out and is not happy. They don’t care they want to be together and will see where it will go, This is as good as it gets with rom-coms. The story and the main characters are well-written, and you really care about them and root for them. A Perfect fall read (with some hot sex scenes)!
