If you’re a fan of rom-coms you can’t do much better than this one. It’s a well-written story, with characters you root for to be together. Dreamy Daniels is an assistant to a bass who is an ass. She is finishing up her education and wants to open a non-profit for women with the lottery she plans on winning. She plays every drawing and knows one day she will win. She’s sworn off men for the time being after her last boyfriend. Karter Redford is a multimillionaire, who invests in new companys and products. He has a meeting with her boss and he has talked to her on the phone, is instantly in love with her when he meets her. He asks her out and at first she says now. But he wears her down and they go out and hit it off and have some hot sex (steamy scenes are written). But she feels she’s not at his level and Karter’s snooty mother doesn’t approve. A medical issue and a winning powerball number might just change everything for these two lovebirds. With great supporting and funny characters, this is a hit.
You can pick up Business As Usual in stores Tuesday, April 5th from Berkley.
