Gus Monet, along with her boyfriend Howard and daughter Bly, are on a family camping vacation, when Howard leaves with the camper, to meet a source for a story he’s working on, he’s a reporter. He never returns and a body is ever found, nor is the camper. Three years later, Howard’s parents decide to have a service for him, with Gus and Bly attending, and find out the camper was recently found. They go through it and find a secret compartment with Howard’s notes, and a map and also find his cellphone. They believe he is still alive, and decide to follow his trail, with the clues he left them. What they find is danger all around them. People don’t want the two women snooping around, and it is deadly at all turns. They won’t give up until they find out for sure if Howard is alive or dead, even it might cost them their own lives. This is an intense, page-turning thriller, that you will not want to put down. At it’s core it’s about family and love, and two strong, determined women (one is only 13), who will do nothing to find the man they both love.
