Following last year’s great book Caged, Author Ellison Cooper is back with book two and her character FBI Senior Special Agent Sayer Altair in Buried. She has another great story with this character and has the reader on the edge as time goes by trying to find a serial killer with twists and turns you don’t see coming.

After the events of Buried the FBI is under heavy scrutiny by Congress. The whole agency has been investigated and re-evaluated and a scapegoat is being looked for and looks like it will be Holt. Sayer has been on leave now close to six months recovering from her bullet wound but is ready to go back to work. She is still trying to find evidence of what happened to her dead finance four years ago. What she’s been told doesn’t jive with what she knows. When a FBI agent up in the mountains finds a pit full of bones Sayer is called back to work.

Found in Shenandoah National Park in Virginia the bodies look like they have been there many years and also a couple of fresh bodies. One might belong to the local sheriff’s sister, who went missing years ago. A unit is called together to start the investigation. Things start to happen with the case. Bones are stolen. People attacked and it looks like someone seems to be ahead of the investigation. It will take everything Sayer has to solve this case and might even involve a person in her online project she is doing on psychopaths number 037 could hold the key to solving the whole case.

You can pick up Buried in stores on Tuesday, July 16th from Minotaur Books.
