The year is 2024, and time travel has now been outlawed because of travelers known as ‘takers’ who have come back from the future to steal resources. Magnolia Brown, who is sixteen, traveled back with her parents, who helped invent time travel, and were killed when they came back to this time. Magnolia is spared, lives with the Willoughby family, and is in love with one of the sons, Falon, and is wanted by his half-brother, Ramsey, who looks out for her. She is a taker, and a lot of people want her dead. When Falon dies in a fire, Magnolia is crushed, and is determined to go back in time to save her. When she takes off to try and find help, Ramsey tracks her down, protects her, and they fall in love. She learns shocking secrets about her parents, and is determined to find a way to go back, even if it kills her and Ramsey. The story turns into a love story between Magnolia, Falon, and Ramsey, who she truly falls in love with. The twists and turns are plenty, as well as the hot sex scenes author Tessa Bailey is known for. Fans of hers will enjoy this more adult-themed novel.
