Nora Stephens is a literary agent, lives in New York City and has been dumped four times in the last year. Her pregnant sister (having her third baby) decides that they must go away for a vacation while they have the time. They end up in Sunshine Falls, North Carolina, the location for one Nora’s authors novels. Also there is Charlie Lastra, an editor that Nora met a few years ago, a man with a chip on his shoulder. Nora doesn’t have a very friendly relationship with him. It turns out Charlie is from here and home to help take care of his father, who had a stroke. Soon they start spending time together and actually get to like each other. Things heat up with the two and it might turn into something, if their demanding jobs don’t get in the way. The small town setting works great here, as does the chemistry between the two characters. It’s also a nod to how the publishing business works and the reader is left rooting for these two characters to get together. A great rom-com.
