John Bowie is a detective with a small Louisiana police station and three years ago never solved the disappearance of Crissy Mellin, a teenage girl, whose body was never found, her neighbor’s son was arrested, signed a confession and hung himself in jail. John never bought it was him, and tried to question things, only to be shot down by the man running to be his new boss. Now a true-crime TV show is devoting an episode to the case, and Beth Collins, a producer on the show, has come to town hoping to talk to John, who refuses to talk to her, until she mentions how the death took place on the night of a blood moon, and soon discovers a string of blood moon murders in other cities, and that his boss was aware of this and other things, and soon learns a shocking detail about the man that killed himself. John soon teams up with Beth, after being fired from his job, has to hide out and re-investigates the case, and comes up with shocking new evidence and must find the real killer before the next blood moon, all while to keep his daughter, Beth and himself safe. Another solid, psychological thriller from author Sandra Brown, who excels with these kind of novels. This is one you will not want to put down.
