Book Review: ‘Birder, She Wrote: A Meg Langslow Novel’ By Donna Andrews

Meg Langslow is taking a little time for herself in her yard, lying in her hammock, and watching a bully hummingbird in the feeder they have set up. Then she gets a call about trouble with neighbors, and as the peacemaker, she needs to go sort it out. Her father is also installing a beehive, her grandmother is being interviewed by a shady reporter for a magazine, and while looking for an ancient graveyard, she finds a dead body of a neighbor. So instead of some me time, she’s got a lot of messes to try and help clean up these messes, and solve a murder, a blackmailer, and save her own life, when she figures out who the killer is. Another fun novel in the series, with all the quirky supporting characters, a good look at how beehives are built and run, and the usual chaos that’s Meg’s life.

You can pick up Birder, She Wrote in stores on Tuesday, August 1st from Minotaur Books.
