Michael Fuller is 23 and has graduated from medical school and has gotten a surgical residency at the legendary Bellevue Hospital. It means a lot to him because his ancestors also worked at the hospital. He starts out his job in grand fashion, watching and assisting with several surgeries, and things start going weird when each of the patients he was in surgery with dies. On top of that, he keeps seeing a little girl in a blood socked dress and screaming. He soon learns a shocking secret about one of his ancestors and starts to investigate it, not realizing what danger this has put him in. This is another great psychological thriller from author Robin Cook, who never disappoints with his novels. Fans will enjoy this one.
