Ten years ago Natalie Campall was sexually assaulted by her boss, was tried in court and he was found not guilty. One day later he died of a heart attack. Since then she has suffered from PTSD and sometimes blacks out and loses chunks of time. She has had the support of her husband, Ryan, and her friend Rachel. Now ten years later she is receiving mysterious letters in the mail and the blackouts have returned. When her husband tells her he has been suspended from work for raping his assistant, Alice, who he slept with but claims he didn’t rape, she is not sure what to believe. Then Alice is found dead in the woods and all the evidence points to Ryan, who is arrested but released because the evidence is not strong enough. Then a shocking confession from Ryan, a death, a new suspect and a shocking reveal as to who the murderer is that you don’t see coming. This is the debut novel from author Govett and what a suspenseful, page-turning triller it is. More novels like this one and she will be someone to watch out for.
