Agnes Murphy Nash is a writer, a Hollywood wife and married to mega-producer Trevor Nash. Has been for a long time. She does all the typical stuff a Hollywood wife would do, including raising there daughter. But everything has changed the day she found her credit cards cancelled and the code to the gates of the mansion changed. She manages to get in and confronts her husband, who says he’s not happy. They come to an arrangement about the house and to stay out of each others ways.
Trevor soon takes off for a cruise and Agnes is as confused as ever what’s going on. When he gets back he decides he wants to try and fix the marriage. But it doesn’t last long and soon he serves her with divorce papers. But Agnes is not taking this lying down. She will fight for what she feels is right and for custody of her daughter. Trevor doesn’t play fair and soon it turns into The War Of The Roses (a great movie that starred Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner). Trevor pulls out every dirty trick he can think of and Agnes fights back the best way she can but it seems like Trevor will have the upper-hand.
How it will play out is anyone’s guess but what you read will make you LOL at times. This is a great novel filled with quirky characters and a story that seems like it is true Hollywood warfare. This would make an awesome Netflix show spread out over a 10-episode series. You will want to keep reading right up to the very end.
