In the New Mexico desert, a film crew is filming a movie when they spot a skull and bones, that belong to a naked woman, and FBI agent Corrie Swanson is assigned the case. When they find rare artifacts in her hands, Nora Kelly is called in to assist on the case. Then another body of a female is found, in the area that belongs to the Navajo and is believed to be the home of skinwalkers. Both women think it could be connected to the Gallinas, a tribe wiped out in the 13th century. Their investigation takes them to remote places, they soon encounter a mysterious power that has long been dormant who may want revenge. This is another great Preston & Childs novel, with lots of twists and turns that you don’t see coming. Fans of this series will be happy with this one.
