Natalie Link is now in charge of her grandmother’s honey farm, where she makes a face mask out of the honey, which is selling really well. What she doesn’t know is the history of the farm. Nat was raised by her grandmother after her mother took off after she was born to become an actress. Her father vanished shortly after, and not one ever heard from him again, until now. His body is found inside a barrel of bad honey. Turns out her grandmother has led quite the life as a drug smuggler, beekeeper, and teaming up with some shady people. Bob Sauk worked the case years ago as a cop; now he is on his own and is brought into the case once the body is found. It leads to a pair of hitman brothers, the return of Natalie’s mother, and just what happened years ago to her father. A solid debut novel, with interesting characters, lots of information on raising bees, and making honey.
