Book Review: ‘Are You Sara?: A Novel’ By S.C. Lalli

Sara is helping to close down the bar she works in, when a girl is passed out in the ladies room. She goes and gets her, who also is named Sarah. They talk outside for a few minutes, get high and call rideshares. They each get in a car and head off into the night. But Sara ends up in a rich part of town, they got into the wrong cars. Sara makes her way back to her apartment, in a seedy part of town and the police are there. Sarah has been murdered outside the apartment building. Now the question becomes was it Sara or Sarah that was targeted? Sara tells the police what she knows and then decides to investigate. Seems Sara isn’t an innocent person, she has hidden secrets and thinks she knows what really happened. But does she know the truth and will she live long enough to expose what really happened that night? A solid thriller, that goes a little off the rails story-wise at some points, with a solid twisty ending.
