Book Review: ‘An Island Wedding: A Novel’ By Jenny Colgan

Flora is the owner of a hotel and cafe in her beloved island of Mure in Scotland. She has a year old son and a fiance named Joel and it’s time for them to get married. It’s going to be a small wedding and this has some upset about not being invited. Then Olivia Mathieson, who left Mure ten years ago and is an infuencer, decides she wants to get married in Mure and use Flora”s hotel and make it a big, splashy affair. And she wants it the same weekend as Flora. As Olivia arrives and the wedding plans are underway, Flora gets swept up and decides maybe a bigger wedding wouldn’t be so bad. Filled with lots of fun, quicky characters and the great setting of Mure, Scotland, this is a great summer beach read. This is the fifth book in the Mure series and can only be written in the unique style that author Jenny Colgan writes.

You can pick up An Island Wedding in stores on Tuesday, June 21st from Avon.
