Simon Harltey has been sent to Saudi Arabia, by Prime Minister Tony Blair, to negotiate a multi-billion dollar arms deal for England. At a party, an Italian guest is stabbed to death and Simon is framed for the murder. In England, Miles Faulkner, is getting out of prison after serving three years, and has revenge on his mind. He intends to take down William, Beth and hopefully his ex-wife Christina. When he comes across a deal to buy a piece of artwork and an original version of the Declaration of  Independence, signed by Thomas Jefferson, from Simon’s mother, who needs the money after her husband died, it sets in motion the death of a witness to the murder in Saudi Arabia, who is in the UK for protection, while the government is working to free Hartley. A lot of shady things are going down and William Warwick and Ross have to figure things out quickly before it’s too late to free Simon, and stop Miles once again. This is the seventh book in the series, and it’s another thrilling novel, with some of my favorite characters in all of books. Author Archer has announced there’s one book left in the series, coming in 2025, and this book ends on a cliffhanger, so I am eagerly awaiting the final book next year (and sad at the same time it’s the last book). Fans of this series will enjoy this one.
