Thea lost her parents in a car crash when she was young and no one was ever arrested for it. She was raised by her granddad and never got over the loss of her parents. Thea also has a gift or a curse, when she touches someone she can tell how many years, days or minutes they have left to live. When she finds out her best friend and roommate, Ruth, is destined to die on this night, she is able to take time off of someone else and transfer it to Ruth so she lives a long time, which she does, but it kills the person she took it from. She then figures she can take from bad people and give to good people, working with her lawyer friend Sam. It soon becomes too much for her and she has to decide what is right and wrong. This is an intense, unique thriller and it makes you wonder what you would do if you had this power. This is one you want to keep reading once you start.
