At the age of 16, Georgina Rowe is sent to learn how to become a governess, at the Miss Prentice School for Girls. Seven years later, she is still there. No one wants to hire her because of her brash way of speaking and doing things. Henry Kincaid, who works at the Admiralty, and works nonstop, and has no love live, he was burned years ago, finds out his sister and her husband have taken off for Egypt, and let her three kids, and their new dog for him to take care of. He loves his family, but has no time to look after them, so he ends up hiring Georgina, and comes to regret it. The kids like her, but he finds her unconventional, and hot. Over time, they have an attraction for each other, try not to act on it, and fall in love. Henry has been offered a promotion, and his own ship, and knows he can’t commit to her, even though he wants to. When he does figure out what he wants it live, in may be too late. A really fun rom-com, that hits all the right notes. Two main characters, three young kids, and two dogs, make for an enjoyable novel.
