Izzy Shay is starting a new job today and has stopped to get coffee and it’s taking forever. When the name of Amy is called, she ordered the same thing Izzy did, after three calls of Amy’s name, Izzy decides to take it. As she turns to leave she runs into a hot man, with a big chest, whom she names Mr. Chest, named Blake and spills the coffee all over him. They have some flirting going on and as she leaves the coffee shop, he calls her Amy. At her new job she finds out the head of her department is Black and he learns her name is really Izzy and she explains about the coffee, and he’s not amused at what she did. As the days go along they strike up a friendship outside of work, only friends and no business talk. he can’t date her as his boss. They find this hard, as an attraction has developed. Then he learns he is not her boss anymore after a merger and they take their relationship to the next level. Only he is still her boss and he got her fired after the merger, not his fault though. Now he has to confess and beg her forgiveness. This is a fun novel, with these two playful characters and their supporting cast of family and friends and cats. Quite a few lol moments and you root for them to be together.
