Authors Colin Heaton and Anne-Marie Lewis have put together an intense book talking to military veterans of World War II. A lot of these interviews took place over many years and are now together in one book. Five incredible people talk about their time in WWII and what they did and how they felt. Each of these five men had unique talents that made a difference in the war and we get to be up close with each one and feel like we are there reading their stories. There’s not a lot of people left from WWII and this book is a special look at men who were heroes. There’s been a lot of books written about WWII both fiction and non-fiction and this is right up there with the best of them.
You can pick up Above The Reich: Deadly Dogfights, Blistering Bombing Raids, and Other War Stories from the Greatest American Air Heroes of World War II, in Their Own Words in stores on Tuesday, June 8th from Dutton.
