Penelope is from California and has a single mom, who never believed in marriage, she’s the product of a sperm donor. Chase grew up on the East-Coast, who at one point had a lot of money. He works as the chief-of-staff for the Mayor of New York, she has her own business and they’re getting married. When they tell their families everyone is happy except for the mothers. Alexa is the mother of the bride and Abigail is the mother of the groom. They both have opinions about the wedding but mostly keep them to themselves since it’s the kid’s big day. The wedding will take place in California and plans are being put into place, until a phone call changes everything. Now the two moms must work together to make sure this wedding takes place. This is another great Lian Dolan novel, she has never written a bad one. The two moms are a hoot at times and it’s fun to follow along with them. Throw in a unique supporting cast and you’ve got one of the best wedding events of the year.
