Book Review: ‘A Witch’s Guide To Fake Dating A Demon: A Novel’ By Sarah Hawley

Mariel Spark is a witch who doesn’t have very good control over her powers. Whenever she tries anything magical, it usually ends up wrong. She’s the daughter of Diantha, the powerful leader of a line of strong witches. When she tries to summon flour, she ends up getting a demon named Ozroth the Ruthless, who takes mortal souls in exchange for granting wishes. Oz has been on the outs since he accidentally acquired a mortal soul. And Mariel can’t just send him back, he has to have her soul. So as long as he is here, he will be her pretend boyfriend, and we know how these things go. They soon open up to each other, develop feelings, and have to figure out how to make this all work out. A really fun, steamy, magical rom-com, that hits all the right notes. Fans of this genre will not want to miss out on this one.

You can pick up A Witch’s Guide To Fake Dating A Demon in stores on Tuesday, March 7th from Berkley.
