Frankie Attleboro’s mother died a year ago, and she left Cape Cod, where her father and brother still live. Now a year later, she returns for the first time, pregnant and engaged to Gil. When she goes into the family home, she finds her father in bed with her best friend Ariel, who is also pregnant. This throws her for a loop, and the family drama begins. They’re getting married in a week as well. Frankie is ready to bolt, and put this behind her, but decides to stay, she has other news as well, she and Gil have bought the house next door. As they try to get use to this new reality, Ariel’s mother Carlotta returns, after a ten-year absence, and they strange things start to happen. Frankie decides to investigate her, deal with her family issues, get married, have a baby and try to stay alive. This is a twisty, soapy, fun adventure, with well-written characters, and a plot easy to follow. You will want to keep reading this one, once you start.
