After the events of the last book, the Double 0 program is a bit of a mess. James Bond is missing, an agent is dead, another agent is on forced leave and after a bombing an agent is in the hospital. There’s still undercover operations going on, including trying to find the person doing the bombings (this is the first one), which sends agents 004 and 000 on a mission to figure out the funding as well. Meanwhile, agent 003 is off the grid trying to find James Bond and finds out that there’s a mole in the program, tries to save her fellow agent, and she gets closer to finding Bond and it leads to a shocking ending. This is the second novel in the trilogy series (hopefully more than 3 books will be written), and it’s another page-turning novel. Author Kim Sherwood has an excellent take on Bond and the series, and I bet Ian Fleming is giving her the thumbs up.
