Rudolph, New York, is known for Christmas, year-round. Vicky Casey is engaged to chef Mark Grosse, and they have bought Cole House, which hasn’t been lived in for over 40 years, and is considered haunted. They plan to renovate it and make it their new home. Merry Wilkinson is Vicky’s best friend, and in past books has helped solve murderers in the town. On this one night, they hear noises, and Mark finds the dead body of Jim Cole, a distant relative of the Cole family, who claims the house is his. Mark if a suspect, as are a number of other people in town. Merry decides to help investigate the murder, with so much going on in town, she needs to be quick about this or there may not be a wedding, or easter (which is coming up) to celebrate. This is another fun novel in the series. Author Vicki Delany writes the best small-town murder mysteries, with interesting, quirky characters, that are enjoyable to read. Fans of these kind of novels will enjoy this one.
