Henry Asher, from a young age ,has always done the window at his Aunt Isla’s vintage shop in Ocean Glen, New Jersey. When she went into a care home, he took over the business, which is not doing so well. Neither is his personal life when he finds his boyfriend with another man, just when he was ready to propose to him. With the holidays coming up, he makes a wish at the beach for a ‘perfect man’ and it comes true. His favorite mannequin at the store has come to life with no idea how to be a human, and names himself Aidan. There’s a catch to this wish, they must fall in love with each other by New Year’s Eve or he becomes a mannequin again. Henry starts teaching him how to be human, with a lot of LOL moments, and they soon fall for each other. When Henry has a meltdown, he says things to Aidan, it may just screw up the love of his life and what could be his perfect man. This is a well-written novel that tells the story from each of their perspectives. Watching them live and fall for each other is fun, and you root for them to be together. A perfect Holiday novel!
