The year is 1890 and American heiress, Cora Beaumont, is engaged to Terrance Tristan, the son of a Duke. She’s about to fly to London on the maiden flight of Lady Air, with a bunch of women, who are snobs of British society. Lady Orphelia is one of the women, who befriends Cora and they share a chaperone that is teaching them how to act in society when they get to London. The first night on the flight a murder is discovered in third class and a C is carved into the body. Cora teams up with Nicholas, her soon-to-be brother-in-law to try and solve the murder and then more bodies start to add up and they need to solve this situation before it gets too late. This is the debut novel of author Skelly and it’s a good one. The setting on the ship, the characters and the supporting characters all lead to a fun murder-mystery.
