Arthur and Wren have been together for 10 years (not married), live in a small apartment, both work or did until she quit her job, and they like to have fun. When Wren discovers she is pregnant, everything changes. Wren decides they need to have fun before the baby is born, and finds the bucket lists they made years ago, and decides they will do as many of them as they can. So it’s off to a football game and hopes of getting on the jumbotron, a birthday party at Chucky Cheese, skydiving, a haunted house, and other fun things, even though Wren can’t do all of them. As the day of the baby being born is coming up, Arthur makes a decision that could change their relationship, and he has regrets about it. They’re both nervous about being parents, having a good place to live, and still being able to have fun. This is a fun book with a heartwarming story. Watching them on these adventures and seeing how much they love each other is endearing and sweet. A good mid-summer beach read.
