Scarlett Moore is a crime fiction podcaster, whose show does okay, but isn’t lighting the world on fire. Her boss, Celeste, asks her to take over the romance podcast, along with a raise, something she doesn’t really want to do, but she will do it. When she goes to a singles event, where masks are required, she sees Rafael Gray, who used to live next door to her, and for whom she had a crush when she was 17. He’s back in town because his father died, and they end up spending time together. When a string of murders starts taking place, Scarlett figures out that someone is basing the murders on her murder podcasts, and she even thinks it might be Rafael. The two spend a lot of time together, have hot sex, and fall for each other, but can she really trust him, and just who is the murderer in town? This is a good psychological thriller, with a love story thrown in as well. There are a number of suspects, and the author does a good job of throwing in potential suspects, and you are left reeling when the final reveal is made.
