It’s November, and the setting is Christmasville, Maine, up near the Canadian border. Kelsey Hendricks has dumped her cheating boyfriend and quit her job, where they worked together. She has taken the job as social media manager in Christmasville. When she arrives at her inn, she finds a man dead in her room. Then she meets Aaron, who is staying at the inn and is possibly looking to buy land to build a new hotel. They hit it off and spend a little time together. As Kelsey meets the people in town, she is feeling good about her move, until she finds another dead body, this time in the water, Mary, who would have been a co-worker. She soon meets Ellison Shaw, who owns the bookstore in town, and they begin dating and start to get close. He has a wacko ex, who is annoying Kelsey and everyone else, and is soon dead, jumping from a roof, or was she pushed? Kelseu jas a lot on her plate, and when she figures out who the murderer is, it may be too late for her. This is a fun start to this new series. Fans of small-town murder mysteries, with quirky characters, will enjoy this one.
