Book Review: ‘A Forgery Of Roses: A Novel’ By Jessica S. Olson

A magical mystery thriller that you need right now. Myra’s been taking care of her sick 13 year old sister for a year now, since her parents disappeared. Myra is a painter but not just any painter, she’s a Prodegy, she can use her paintings to change people and animals and has to keep it a secret or could be killed or taken by those who want to use it for evil. When it’s reported that the Governor’s son Will is sick, his wife comes to Myra for help. It truns out he is dead, fell from a balcony and she wants Myra to bring him back from the dead, for a big amount of money. Myra is not sure she can but will try. At the Governor’s house she meets August, the other son. They develop a friendship and soon figure out Will was murdered and they investigate who or what happened. It leads to a shocking twist and secrets you don’t see coming and puts a lot of lives in danger and it will be up to Myra to stop it all. This is a well-written novel with characters you root for and keeps you engage throughout. This book is great!
