Book number 2 in the Nina Guerrera series is a thrill-ride from the very start. It starts off fast and never lets up. It’s one of the best thrillers of the summer. For FBI agent Nina Guerrera and her new task force it’s time to track down a serial killer. One that they figure out started 28 years ago. And this killer only murders on Feb. 29th (leap year) and targets a family with a new baby girl, in various cities across the country. As Nina and the other agents investigate they’re able to tie together patterns of the killer it seems based on the legend of La Llorona. And the killer is one step ahead of them as the hotels rooms the agents are staying in have been bugged and the killer knows what’s going on. Then Nina makes the shocking discovery that changes the case for her and for the killer. It then becomes a game of cat and mouse and leads to a dramatic showdown.

If you didn’t read the first book no worries, as I didn’t read it either. This one reads as a stand-alone and is very easy to follow. You won’t want to put it down.

You can pickup A Different Dawn in stores on Tuesday, August 10th.
