Things seem to be going good for a change for Amory Ames. She’s eight months pregnant and things with Milo are good. There both excited about being parents. And it’s time for the annual festival. So of course things take a turn. A mysterious woman shows up and she tells Amory she’s married to Milo. They met months ago and had a quick romance and marriage. It was at a time when Milo was away. When Milo gets home and she asks him about it he laughs. He has no idea who this woman is.
Then another knock on the door. This time a man arrives and he the spitting image of Milo. And for good reason he’s his half-brother. Seems Milo’s dad was a busy man. And this is the man the mysterious woman met. And if that’s not enough a murder takes place at the festival and now Amory is on the case, even though she’s 8 months pregnant. She starts interviewing people and then another murder happens. Milo wants her to back off but she won’t and soon narrows down who the potential killer is. And by the end of the book she has had her baby.
