Gabriel Allon, who is a spy and art restorer, is in London, when Charlotte Blake is found dead. She was working on finding a stolen Picasso, worth a lot of money. At first, it seemed her death was part of a serial killer that had been terrorizing Cornwall, but now it seems it may not be connected. Gabriel takes up the case of trying to find the stolen art, and it involves having help from Anna (a woman from his past), a thief wanted in a lot of places, and a contract killer. Gabriel comes up with a plan, that goes sideways when bodies start piling up. Not one to give up, he comes up with other plans, and it leads to a shocking climax and who has the painting. These novels are always so good. Author Daniel Silva has never written a bad one, and long time fans of this series will love this one.
