Jane Hunter, who is 62, works for the wealthy and somewhat reclusive Cameron Clewe as his personal librarian and sometimes partner in solving crimes. After Jane picks up a box of books from the rich Stewart family, she finds a book signed by Kimberly Stewart Ward, who died of suicide, years ago, with a note Jane figures someone was targeting her, so Jane and Cam decide to look into her death. Then someone else close to the family dies, they decide to investigate the family, and learn shocking secrets about them. Jane also gets warnings to back off their investigation. It leads to a dinner party, where all hell breaks loose. On a side story, Can continues to look for his real father, and gets a little closer with his real family. This is the third novel in the series, my first time reading one, and I loved it. The characters of Jane and Cam are a riot at times, and have some great chemistry as friends. The supporting characters add a lot as well. I will always read anything author Victoria Gilbert writes.
