Adam Wheatley is on top of the world. He expects to get a promotion at his publishing job, and he and his boyfriend, Trevor, are moving to a new home. He doesn’t get the promotion, quits his job, and then Trevor dumps him. He decides to retreat to his small Maine town and to his aunt, who owns an inn. When he learns the inn is in trouble, he decides to use his own money to spruce it up and do the work himself, something that soon proves to be too much for him. Graham Taylor is hot and a handyman, and in exchange for doing work, he needs a place to stay. Adam had the hots for him in high school, and now he is still attracted to him and thinks he is straight, but he is not, and they soon hook up and fall for each other. When Adam is offered his old job back and learns everyone has been keeping a secret, he bolts back to New York but soon figures out what a mistake he has made and comes back to town, to his family, and to Graham, hoping it’s not too late. This is a great gay rom-com, with two people you root for, a strong supporting cast, and a great setting in the inn and the small town. A perfect holiday novel that will put a smile on your face.
