Lana Lewis used to be a reporter in Miami, until she lost her job. She now runs the coffee shop, Perkatory, in Devil’s Beach, Florida. She is dating the police chief Noah Garcia, and has a little dog named Stanley. Oh, yeah she keeps finding dead bodies, this time at the local community garden, where she has just been given a plot to use, after Jack was kicked out, and it’s Jack’s dead body she finds. Noah tells her to stay away from this investigation, as she always gets involved in the cases when she finds bodies. Darla, who runs the garden, is the prime suspect, and she asks Lana to help find the real killer, who will have to walk a fine line in order to not piss off Noah. This is the fourth novel in the series, and they keep getting better. Small town mysteries, with fun characters, and a cute dog, make for a good time reading. Fans of the series will be happy with this one.
