Marchfield Square is a series of flats in London, owned by Celest Van Buren and she rents them out cheaply to help people out. On this night one of the tenants, Richard Glkead, a horrible man, is found dead by his wife, Linda, shot to death. Then Linda is found dead in the same apartment and Celeste wants to know what’s going on and hires two of her tenants, Audrey, who is a house cleaner and Lewis, who has a day job and is a writer, having had one successful book. The two team up and start finding evidence and have a list of suspects, including a mob guy, Ram, who ends up dead as well as their neighbors in the square. They soon figure out there may be more than one killer and are able to narrow down and figure out who is responsible for the deaths, with their own lives in danger now that they have gotten too close to the truth. This is a well-written, twisty, fun thriller, with many twists and turns, right up to the very end, with a twist you don’t see coming. This one is a winner.
