Blu-ray Review: ‘Lucifer: The Complete Fourth Season’

Lucifer was cancelled by Fox after three seasons and it looked like the show was dead. After a fierce fan campaign Netflix came to the rescue and picked it up for a fourth season. And with being on Netflix the show had more creative freedom. They could swear (which they did on a few occasions). Star Tom Ellis finally got to show his butt (a few times actually). And the storyline’s weird solid for the season.

Lucifer had to deal with Chloe after she saw his real face. Lucifer has to deal with Eve who has come to earth. He also has to deal with his job in the underworld and as the season goes on he is overtaken with the job. But not everything is as it seems. Chloe has a secret. Dr. Linda gets an unexpected surprise that shouldn’t have happened and her life is now in jeopardy. Ella and Dan kiss and where will that lead. And the season ends on a dramatic cliffhanger.

At the time of the finale ending there had been no word from Netflix on the show’s future. Lucky for us they renewed for a fifth and final season. Word has it they want a sixth season now as well. The show has always been great and with the move to Netflix it was even better having more freedom.

In these crazy times it’s highly suggested you pick up this great series. Start from the beginning and by May 12th you will be ready to pick up season four from Warner Home Video.
