This time we see the casino through the eyes of the dealer, played by the former James Bond candidate and ‘The Informer’ (2019) star Clive Owen. The protagonist is actually a struggling writer who accepts a job as a croupier and realizes that his experiences in the role would provide great material for a novel. The film has a neo-noir film and also steps into heist movie territory, which is not a bad thing. Throughout it all, Owen gives a star turn as a man, with disdain for others. who is also struggling to come to terms with the direction his own life is taking.
