For three women at the small apartment complex at 1054 Mockingbird Lane, life will never be the same again. There are 4 units total but Nadine, who owned the building, has died and left it to her horrible son Jonathan, who wants to see it. Slyia Webb is seeing a hot man named Hugh and is smitten with him. They can only get together on the weekend because of his job. She dreams of having a baby with him. Embry is the mother of two young children and is married to the hunky Brandon, who is an aspiring actor but hasn’t gotten a break yet. He bartends at night and they barely make enough to cover the rent and their bills. He keeps hoping for his big break. And now Embry is pregnant again and doesn’t know how to tell him. And then there’s Riki, a second grade teacher at a prestigious private school, who has to deal with horrible parents, who think they have the right to dictate policy. She’s dating the good looking Chris but she has the hots for Brandon. Sylia discovers a secret about Hugh and he’s about to learn ‘hell has no fury like a woman scorned.’ Riki gets a wake-up call in regards to her job and Chris. And Embry thinks her husband might be having an affair and they’re fighting a lot about dumb little things. And then a shocking death and secret left by Nadine will upend their lives forever.

If you’re a fan of TV shows like Desperate Housewives or soap operas like General Hospital this book is right up your alley. Secrets, lies, deception and revenge are all on tap in this novel. Early candidate for best written character in 2021 is Sylvia. I would never won’t to cross this woman.

You can pick up Lie, Lie Again in stores on Friday, January 1st. A great way to start off the new year.
