Giddy is how I feel when I believe I’ve just watched a “cool” film. Not “cool” as in “average” or “just okay”, but “cool” like “dope, witty, somewhat unique”. Robot Awakening checks those boxes. When I first viewed the movie I thought about Spider-man. The basis of Spider-man is a young boy going through puberty or maturity of sorts but its layered with superpowers. Not that this stories main character is similar, but he finds himself learning about himself and just how different he is from everyone around him in a similar manner. Robot Awakening is a fun film that should resonate with young kids of this generation. Today’s youth more than ever in experience enjoy stories about the underdog and those who don’t quite fit in with society as many of them feel they don’t. OMG: I’m a Robot follows a young man who is socially awkward and doesn’t have much going for him; or so he thinks. A decision to end his life gives him life and he’s taken on a scary, fun and exciting ride.

Most of us wake up each day wanting to be different and or hoping to do or be something meaningful to the world. The main character Danny actually gets that chance: the opportunity to change his life and others alike. The question is, what does he do with his newfound ability? Does he pledge himself to good and the betterment of others or succumb to the world around him? One can only hope for good, right? OMG: I’m a Robot is an enjoyable from start to finish that kids and adults alike will love!
