The series comes to end in a thrilling, epic conclusion to Apollo’s journey to become a God again.
Lester aka Apollo and Meg are heading back to New York to try and take out Nero and then Python to get the Oracles back and for Apollo to once again be the Sun God. But Nero is waiting for them and after an escape from the train they make there way to Camp Half-Blood and form their plan. Which is to say they don’t have much of a plan. They will turn themselves into Nero, who threatens to burn down the city and then the Camp will start an attack to try and give Apollo and Meg a chance to take out his burning plan and to go after what gives him power.
Things at first do not go according to plan but then the assault is on and it’s an epic battle of the ages between Nero’s forces and those of Apollo, Meg and Camp Half-Blood. And if Apollo can get through this he still has to go underground to face Python and that will be harder than anything he would ever have to face.
This was a thrilling conclusion as only author Rick Riordan can write. His wry humor, pop-culture references and stand out dialogue make these books so much fun to read. Not sure where his next stories will be going and I can’t wait to find out.
