Book Review: ‘The Paris Apartment: A Novel’ By Lucy Foley

Author Lucy Foley writes the best pyschologocial thrillers. Her last book The Guest List was one of my favorites and now she has topped herself with The Paris Apartment. A page-turning story you won’t want to put down, with lots of twists and turns right up to the very end. Another well done job. Jess Hadley calls her half-brother Ben from London and tells him she is on the way to stay for a while at his Paris apartment. Ben is not thrilled about this but is not stopping it. He leaves her a voice message with the address and then is cut off and we read that something has happened to him. He’s nowhere in sight when Jess arrives and is treated coldly by the other tennants in the building. Jess starts looking around and asking questions. We soon learn this is a building of secrets among all the people living there, who are one big dysfunctional family and will do what it takes to keep their secrets. And that puts Jess in their crosshairs after she figures out what Ben was working on and why he might have met with foul play and this information could also be the end of Jess.

You can pick up The Paris Apartment in stores on Tuesday, February 22nd from William Morrow.
