Palm Springs is the setting where Teddy, Barry, Ron and Sid all live together. They’re four older gay guys of various backgrounds and lifestyles. They snark at each other, hang out and are best friends. They also perform a once-a-month play, The Golden Gays, based on the TV show The Golden Girls. When Teddy’s estranged sister, Trudy, shows up at the house with her teenage granddaughter, Ava, their lives are turned upside down. Things are tense in the household, and then, when her true reason for showing up is revealed, it causes more tensions, and soon, all sorts of secrets are revealed. This is a fun, well-written novel, featuring four great main characters. It’s time to make this book into a TV series. Fans of The Golden Girls and funny novels will enjoy this one a lot.
