Lauren Morgan worked for the White House press office and is very good at her job. When she found out her boyfriend and best friend were together behind her back, both whom she worked with, it sent her over the edge, and she ended up leaving the job. She gets an invite to interview for a job at Buckingham Palace, to work with their communications department. She gets the job and moves to London. She has to put up with snobby people who don’t like an American coming into their world. As she settles into her job, she brings some changes, gets assisgned to work with a royal who has been in Australia and needs to have his image fixed in England, and there’s an attraction between the two. She also casually dates a reporter, has her past brought up to her, and is torn between many things she has to deal with British culture. She’s determined to have it all, but at what cost? This is a fun, entertaining novel about the inner workings of the royal family. With fun supporting characters, a dash of romance, and a woman reinventing herself you have a refreshing read.
