A woman is murdered in a rural part of Wisconsin, and it’s believed to be the work of the Beast of Bray Road, a mysterious creature that has been spotted over the years. Detective Wyatt Moorhead has enlisted the help of Morgan Carter, who is a known cryptozoologist, to help investigate the murder. Along with her dog, Newt, she takes off to meet up with Wyatt, and together they start investigating. She doesn’t believe the theories it’s werewolf, and soon she figures out what is going on in this small town, and shocking secrets are revealed, and it may just be the end of the Beast. In her personal life, her boyfriend, Jon, decides what he wants out of their relationship, and she may have new information in regards to the murders of her parents. This is the fourth book in the series, my first time reading one, and it’s a good time. The characters, especially the supporting ones, are a lot of fun, and the story is well-written. Fans of the first three will enjoy this one.
