Secrets and lies always have away of coming out and in J.T. Ellison’s new book they’re a lot of them. Olivea Bender is married to Park, they went out in high school, broke up, she hooked up with his twin brother Perry (who has just returned to town), they broke up when he went off the college in London, and she got back with Park years later. They’ve been trying to have a baby, but Oliver keeps losing them. On this day, after she has lost the latest, the police show up and tell them a woman’s body has turned up and the DNA proves it was Park’s son. This has to be a mistake as Park has no kids. Then he confesses he donated sperm while in college and it turns out he has quite a lot of kids now and one of them is a killer. As the police investigate we meet one of his kids and her mother and we find out that all these people have secrets and lies, including both Park and Olivia. When the killer is finally figured out, it turns out he has one objection that he wants and that is Olivia. A solid thriller, with lots of twists and turns and well-written characters, that keep you reading.

You can pick up It’s One Of Us in stores on Tuesday, February 28th from MIRA.
